Since 2007, physical therapist Stephania Bell has been ESPN's leading injury analyst for fantasy sports enthusiasts.

One of the injuries she's often analyzing is the anterior cruciate ligament, or ACL, tear.

In this episode, Bell describes the impact of ACL tears on both elite athletes and amateur weekend warriors, and she helps to explain why the injury might be more debilitating for one group than the other. She also describes the path that led her to becoming the most recognized face of injury analysis for fantasy sports.

Stephania Bell

Stephania Bell, PT, OCS, CSCS, is a board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist and a certified strength and conditioning specialist. She works full time as an injury analyst and senior writer for ESPN. After earning her undergraduate degree from Princeton University Stephania went on to receive her Master of Science degree in physical therapy from the University of Miami. She has held teaching positions in the physical therapy programs and has lectured nationally on various physical therapy topics.
