Listening Time — 13:55

Most of the time headaches are just what the broader meaning of the term implies. Annoying pains that go away on their own, perhaps with the aid of an over-the-counter medication.

But there are headaches, and then there are headaches. The bolder variety may have a source that’s more problematic. They may have a cause bigger than a Tylenol can solve. These types of headaches may linger. They may even need treatment by a physical therapist — or a referral to another health care provider.

In this episode of Move Forward Radio, physical therapist Denise Schneider discusses these types of headaches. What causes them? What are the red flags that indicate their seriousness? How physical therapy can help? She answers these questions, and also talks about some of elements and possible length of treatment.
