Protecting your access to physical therapist services.

The American Physical Therapy Association is active in lobbying Congress and federal agencies to make sure that patients have access to physical therapist services and that those services stay covered under Medicare and other health insurance plans.

It is important for patients also to let their voices be heard!

Advocate for Access to Physical Therapist Services

APTA makes it easy for you to protect your ability to choose physical therapist services and for those services to be reimbursed under Medicare and other health reimbursement agencies. You can help protect your access to physical therapist services by contacting your legislative representative, Congress, or Medicare using APTA's Patient Action Center. The Patient Action Center provides you with templated letters that go to your representative or Medicare. You just sign and submit. It's that easy.

APTA's Patient Action Center is updated regularly as new policy and laws are proposed, allowing you to voice your concerns about access to care.

Letters from the public can affect change in Washington.
