Practice Description: Dr. Pesavento spends a minimum of 50 min of one-on-one time with each patient. Each new patient undergoes a detailed, comprehensive evaluation to determine the underlying cause of her problem. She tailors an individualized therapy program to meet each patient’s needs, including manual therapy, dry needling, therapeutic exercise, biofeedback, and education so the patient can understand her dysfunction and promote healing through specific home exercises, self-care and life-style modifications.

Dr. Pesavento focus is treating the pelvis/pelvic floor, low back, abdomen, hips. Special training: pelvic floor dysfunction, incontinence (urinary/fecal), pelvic organ prolapse, constipation, chronic pelvic pain, interstitial cystitis/painful bladder, overactive bladder, levator ani syndrome, pudendal nerve neuralgia, coccydynia, dyspareunia (pain w/ intercourse), vaginismus, post-operative (hysterectomy, episiotomy...), pregnancy/postpartum, vulvovaginal disease (vulvodynia, vestibulitis...).

Professional Education

Masters in Physical Therapy (MSPT)- University of Miami School of Medicine (1994), Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)- Shenandoah University (2008). Certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling (CMTPT) and as a Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner (PRPC).
