APTA Spokesperson

Dhara Shah is a clinic supervisor in outpatient rehabilitation at Emory University Hospital Midtown. She specializes in the care of orthopedic conditions, pelvic health concerns, and unresolved pain. In her role, she combines clinical expertise with strengths in team leadership, operational oversight, and advancing high-quality, patient-centered care.

Shah is an active advocate for state legislative issues impacting physical therapy and has served in multiple leadership roles within APTA, most recently as the immediate past president of APTA Georgia. She is also committed to education, serving as a clinical instructor for physical therapy students and a guest lecturer at Mercer University.

She earned her doctor of physical therapy degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed an orthopedic residency at Emory University. She is a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopaedic physical therapy.

Shah is passionate about clinical excellence, innovative patient care models, and advancing the physical therapy profession through advocacy and leadership.
