Heather Jeffcoat is the founder and owner of Fusion Wellness & Femina Physical Therapy. Her background is focused on orthopedics and pelvic health physical therapy.

For more than 25 years she has educated others in the community, nationally through the media, and with those she treats, on prenatal and postpartum health, female sexual function and dysfunction, chronic pelvic pain, and sports-related pelvic injuries.

She holds certifications in Pilates and fascial stretching, and she is a birth coach trained through Doulas of North America. She received a doctor of physical therapy degree from Duke University, School of Medicine.

Jeffcoat is the immediate past president of the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy and a former board of directors and advisory board member of the International Pelvic Pain Society.

She is actively involved in pelvic health research and currently involved in a study on low-intensity shockwave for dyspareunia (painful sex) through the College of St. Scholastica. She is also a clinical site lead for an upcoming study through UNC Chapel Hill, studying high-tone pelvic floor dysfunction.

Jeffcoat is also an advocate for women’s health conditions and has been featured in over 250 prominent media outlets.
