APTA Spokesperson

Lauren Johnson is the founder and owner of Together We Grow Pediatric PT. She focuses on physical therapy in home and community settings, working with the early intervention program, as well as children, teens, and young adults with developmental disabilities.

She is a board-certified clinical specialist in pediatric physical therapy. She is a certified infant massage instructor and is trained in Prechtl’s General Movements Assessment. Her use of the GMA and other standardized tests reflects her passion for early motor screening of babies, for early access to therapy, and for other special care.

Johnson has extensive experience working with children with developmental disabilities, including Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, chromosomal anomalies, vision/hearing impairments, autism spectrum disorder, and a history of prematurity. She is also focused on addressing minor motor concerns in young clients, such as helping babies who have head shaping issues or older children with coordination difficulties.
