Rachna Mehta, PT, DPT

Dr. Rachna Mehta is a board-certified Doctor of Physical Therapy with over 20 years of clinical experience, specializing in outpatient orthopedics, Pelvic and Women???s Health, and integrative wellness. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Columbia University, and her career spans clinical practice, education, and mentorship, rooted in a deep commitment to supporting both patients and providers through a whole-person, evidence-informed approach to care. She is also a published author in the Journal of Women’s & Pelvic Health Physical Therapy and presenter at three international and national conferences, including CSM, IPPS, and IUGA/EUGA With advanced certifications in Orthopedic and Pelvic Health Physical Therapy, Dr. Mehta integrates movement science with nervous system regulation, stress management, and lifestyle-based strategies to optimize function, resilience, and long-term health outcomes. As faculty at the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, she delivers a 12.5 contact-hour nationally and internationally distributed CE course on Acupressure in pelvic rehabilitation. As Founder and CEO of TeachPhysio, she empowers healthcare professionals and organizations through evidence-based education in Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM), bridging traditional healing systems with modern science. In her leadership roles, Dr. Mehta serves as Co-Chair of the APTA New Jersey Integrative Physical Therapy Special Interest Group (NJ APTA SIG), where she advocates for the integration of holistic, patient-centered approaches within the physical therapy profession. Her work is driven by a mission to make integrative care clinically relevant, accessible, and grounded in science, equipping practitioners with practical tools to enhance patient outcomes while empowering individuals with self-regulation strategies for lifelong health.
