About

Gilbert M. Willett, PT, PhD

Gib Willett, PT, MS, PhD, OCS, CSCS is a Professor in the Department of Kinesiology, Doctor of Physical Therapy Education Program at Colorado Mesa University and a Clinical Professor (Contributed Service) for the Creighton School of Dentistry, Oral Biology Department. He has practiced physical therapy since 1987 and has been University Faculty for over 30 years. He is a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopedic physical therapy (since 1994) and a certified strength and conditioning specialist (since 1996). He received a M.S. in Anatomy and Cell Biology (1994) and a Ph.D. in Genetics, Anatomy, and Cell Biology (2006) from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He continues to participate in clinical practice and teaching. He currently teaches human anatomy, histology, therapeutic modalities and therapeutic exercise courses for Colorado Mesa University physical therapy students. He is a published researcher in the areas of musculoskeletal topics and health professions education with over 70 published manuscripts and abstracts.
