Andrea founded MOCO Movement Center in the Washington, D.C., area to take pediatric therapy out of the clinic and into the real world. She received a doctor of physical therapy degree from Marymount University and completed a fellowship in pediatric physical therapy at Georgetown University Hospital Child Development Center. She created a fully inclusive environment where therapy is so much fun that patients don’t know they are receiving physical therapy. Andrea ensures that her patients receive evidence-based therapy services, alongside a sibling or friend, in a world-class recreation center with endless opportunities to reach goals. Andrea has practiced physical therapy in hospitals, schools, research facilities, and in private practice.
Bria is a physical therapist assistant at MOCO Movement Center, who graduated from James Madison University with a bachelor’s degree in dance, and Carrol Community College Physical Therapist Assistant Program. She also is a professional dancer, choreographer, and dance educator. Bria experienced a traumatic brain injury that doctors didn't expect her to survive. She defied the odds and uses her own rehabilitation experience to help her patients and students discover the strength within each of their bodies. She loves helping kids grow and develop through play and having fun!
