Michael John Micca, PT, DPT, ATC

Michael was born and raised in Webster, New York and was a graduate of McQuaid Jesuit High School. After graduating from McQuaid, he went on to play football at John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio where he also obtained a Bachelors in Exercise Physiology. After college, Michael attended D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY where he obtained his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. While at D’Youville, Michael also was a New York State Board of Education, Advanced Orthopedic Certificate recipient. He was also a student at Lattimore Greater Rochester during his time at D’Youville. Once he graduated with his DPT, Michael moved to Pittsburgh, PA, where he continued his learning and began a Sports Physical Therapy Residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). He specialized in the rehab and progression of sports-specific injuries, as well as worked with non-athletes and athletes from every major level of sports. While in Pittsburgh, Michael was the team Physical Therapy Resident for the Pittsburgh Steelers for 2 seasons and Carnegie Mellon University football team for 1 season. In addition to on-field responsibilities, Michael taught in both the Physical Therapy Department and Athletic Training Department for graduate and undergraduate student at the University of Pittsburgh. After Pittsburgh, Michael accepted a position as the Head Physical Therapist and Director of Rehabilitation for the league champions, Orlando Appollos of the once Alliance of American Football (AAF). Michael joined the Lattimore Physical Therapy Team after the collapse of the AAF in May of 2019. Michael enjoys treating all injuries and populations, but has a special interest in treating the knee and working with young athletes.
