Melissa Lynn Alonzo, PT, DPT

Melissa Alonzo earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from East Tennessee State University in 2017. She began her career working in hospital-based sports medicine departments in Steamboat Springs and Mammoth Lakes before opening her private practice, Mammoth Physio, in 2021. Melissa specializes in working with youth and mountain athletes, with a focus on running injuries, scoliosis treatment, athletic development, and return-to-sport rehabilitation. She is also an active volunteer with US Sk

Professional Education

Her education has included extensive training in orthopedic manual therapy through the Institute of Physical Art, advanced coursework in running and sports rehabilitation, winter sports medicine, & female athlete. PSSE Schroth Scoliosis certified.

Additional Interests

Melissa serves as a Strength Coach and Physical Therapist for the Mammoth Track Club and has been a member of the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Medical Pool since 2019. She also works with youth and community strength programs throughout the Eastern Sierra.
