Practice Description: Privately owned outpatient orthopaedic clinic specializing in treatment of mechanical spine disorders and impairments including degenerative discs, herniated discs, and nerve root impingements. We also treat pre and post operative condition of the extremities including but not limited to rotator cuff tears, ACL and meniscal injuries, total/partial knee replacements, hip replacements, plantar fasciitis, ankle sprains, elbow pain and cervical headaches.

John David Grigsby, PT, MPT

David graduated in 2002 from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC). In August 2006, he achieved Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) credentialing with the McKenzie Institute, an international institute specializing in assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal spine and extremity disorders. Since October 2007, he has owned and provided care at MidSouth Orthopaedic Rehabilitation. He has provided telehealth visits for 15 years. David is actively involved with the Practice Based Evidence Research Network which has published 11 research studies on the assessment and treatment of low back and neck pain. Their papers have been published in the Journal of Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy (JOSPT), the Journal of Manual and Manipulative Therapy (JMMT) and more recently in Physiotherapy Research International. Winner of the John Medeiros Award in 2010 from JMMT for the paper with the most impact, that is felt will most influence clinical practice, and that has the greatest opportunity for citations and the D. L. Hart International Research Award in 2016 from Focus on Therapeutic Outcomes. His practice has been awarded and recognized in the Commercial Appeals Memphis Most Contest as Winner for Best Physical Therapy Practice and Urgent Care Practice along with being a finalist in Best Sports Medicine Practice. He also has been voted Best Physical Therapist in the Memphis area by Memphis Health and Fitness Magazine and their readers.
