October is National Physical Therapy Month. In 2015, the American Physical Therapy Association launched an initiative to raise public awareness about healthy aging and how a physical therapist can help and released a list of nine physical therapist tips to help you age well

Alice Bell, PT, DPT, GCS, is the vice president of clinical services, and the director of physical therapy for Genesis Rehabilitation Services. Her specialties include acute rehab, subacute care, and long-term care. A board-certified specialist in geriatrics, she has lectured and written many articles on topics related to physical therapy and the older adult.
